I'm Lolisa Foster, founder and artisan behind Dipped By Melanin & Co., a luxury home and self-care brand shaped by intention, heritage, and the quiet beauty of craftmanship. As a former early childhood educator, a proud mother of two, and a lifelong creative, my journey into candle making began with a deep appreciation for the ways scent and texture can transform not only space, but the way we feel in it.
What started as curiosity became a calling. I devoted myself to the study of premium, clean-burning candle formulation-sourcing the finest coconut apricot wax, lead-free, eco-conscious wicks, and harmonizing phthalate-free fragrances and essential oils to create sensory pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
In the fall of 2023, I introduced my creations to the world at my first artisan market, a moment that transformed passion into purpose.
